Children and Their Toys

Since ancient times toys have been used by children around the world. Each toy has the child playing a certain role. With one toy the child loves to play – another toy is rather forgotten in a corner.
Toys can be classified into different categories. Primarily, they are adapted to a certain age. A distinction is made among other things, baby toys, educational toys, dolls and stuffed animals, sight & sound toys. A further distinction is games that are played in a community like board games. There are also adult toys, which are usually not suitable for children.
In general, toys also will be aimed at a specific gender. So it is very common that girls tend to play with dolls and stuffed animals and boys are more concerned with cars and tools. The toy industry has recognized this situation quickly and bring ever-newer toys for boys or girls on the market. The product range is constantly being expanded and deepened.
In addition to the playful sense of the toy is the purpose of learning and understanding. For example, a baby learns from certain toys that there are different shapes, colors and materials. Even for kindergarten and preschool children there are special educational toys. With animal noises, for example, sounds can be assigned to a particular animal or with simple images, the child learns to count.
Situations from everyday life can also be modeled with appropriate toys. For example, a girl discovers at an early stage when the baby doll cries and cries and calls for the bottle. Or with a special construction toy boys can reenact a situation from the road, letting his imagination run wild.
